04-01 · Supervision

The teacher in the one year old classroom left her classroom unattended to assist the infant teacher outside to bring infants back into the building. The three- four year old teacher left her class unattended. The teachers returned to their classrooms at the time of inspection. Supervision requirements discussed with childcare personnel and the Director at the time of inspection. Per DCF Handbook: Direct supervision means actively watching and directing childrens activities within the same room or designated outdoor play area, during transportation, any activity outside of the facility, and responding to the needs of each child while in care.
