A child was able to get a cough drop out of a teacher's fanny pack. A parent noticed the child had something in her mouth and informed the teacher. The child had a cough drop in her mouth. Subsequently, the teacher started placing her fanny pack on a high shelf out of the children's reach. Technical support was provided. G. All medication must have child resistant caps, if applicable, and must either be stored in a locked area or must be out of any childs reach. If medication is stored in the food preparation area, it must be stored in a manner to prevent contamination of food, food contact surfaces, or medication

33-01 · Technical assistance: 4.2 Training Requirements 4.2.1 Mandated Introductory Training Child care personnel must successfully complete 40 hours of child care training as evidenced by successful completion of competency examinations offered by the Department or its designated representative with a weighted score of 70 or better. Child care personnel who successfully completed the mandatory 40-hour Introductory Child Care Training prior to January 1, 2004 are not required to fulfill the competency examination requirement. A.
