During the time of inspection, the Owner/Operator/Director advised the Licensing Specialist that there 20 employees. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 20 of the 20 employee records. REMINDER: In-service training for 2024/2025 fiscal year must be completed before July 1, 2025. 33-3: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed 6 child care personnel did not start the DCF 40 hours of introductory training within 90 days of the child care industry start date. 33-9: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed 3 employees did not complete the safe sleep training within 30 days of their hire date and 4 employees did not complete the fire extinguisher training within 30 days of their hire date. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 6 There are three common modes of transmission for the spread of microorganisms in child care settings: contact, droplet, and airborne. Many common infections encountered in the child care setting are transmitted by direct or indirect contact. Child care facilities shall develop a written exposure plan regarding universal safety precautions, recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to follow in the event there is exposure to blood and potentially infectious fluids. 45-2: Licensing Specialist observed that 2 employees do not have an eligibility date in the Background Screening Clearinghouse. Both of their screenings state resubmission in process. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist called the Background Screening HelpDesk and they advised that the employees never had an eligibility date on file. When the provider initial submitted the fingerprints, it was missing the OCA number so the provider had to resubmit the fingerprints and included the OCA number on 1/16/2025. 04-01 · Supervision
4-01: During the inspection, the director advised that the child was left in the VPK classroom (Room 100) for about a minute or two, a staff member found her. The VPK classroom left the room to go outside, while the child was in the bathroom. The child came out of the bathroom, saw that the teachers and the children were not in the classroom, so the child left and went to the playground. The child was found by the staff member outside of the facility, on her way to the fenced playground (the child was not in the fenced area). The staff staff member brought the child to the playground. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, Child care personnel must be assigned to provide direct supervision to a specific group of children and be with that group of children at all times. Children must never be left without child care personnel supervision inside or outside the facility, in a vehicle, or at a field trip location

Licensing Specialist observed four cups from home in the three- and four-year-old classroom and thre cups from home in the two-year-old classroom that were not labeled with first and last name.
