The director brought this standard back in compliance at the time of inspection by shutting and locking the kitchen door, hallway closet door and removing item out of the adult bathroom. 17-01 · Outdoor Play Area/Fencing
During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed on the 3/4 year old playground there was a playpen that had leaves, googly eyes and a red cap inside of it and the archway where you zip and un zip was ripped and shredding(Provider threw the play pen out.) There was a container of screws on the playground(Provider put the screws away). There was a caterpillar that the tail and the head was cracked (Provider threw the caterpillar out). The little tyke climber there is a hole with sharp piece on the bottom of the blue entrance area (This needs to be fixed). On the toddler playground there was a bee rider that was peeling(Provider threw the bee out). A pink car that the steering wheel was broken and there was sharp pieces(This needs to be fixed). The blue truck has a hole on the seat(This needs to be fixed). The yellow bike paint is peeling and there is rust(This needs to be fixed). The director was given until March 3, 2025, to come into compliance with this standard. The last fire drill was conducted on 2/3/25 with licensing specialist. The fire extinguisher certification(s) are valid until 12/2025. The annual fire inspection was conducted on 1/5/2024. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that the fire inspection was not conducted annually in that the last inspection was conducted on 1/5/24. During the time of inspection, the Owner advised the Licensing Specialist that there 12 employees. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 12 of the 12 employee records. When the Licensing Specialist was reviewing the files the licensing specialist observed one personnel did not finish her 40-hour training. The owner has made the personnel other personnel. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook Section 4.2.1 Mandated Introductory Training Childcare personnel must successfully complete 40 hours of childcare training as evidenced by successful completion of competency examinations offered by the Department or its designated representative with a weighted score of 70 or better. Childcare personnel who successfully completed the mandatory 40-hour Introductory Child Care Training prior to January 1, 2004, are not required to fulfill the competency examination requirement. A. Licensing Specialist observed that the refrigerator in the kitchen did not have a thermometer. "3.9.2, F. 1. An accurate thermometer designed to measure cold storage temperature must be placed inside each refrigeration and freezer unit. Thermometers in refrigerators must show a reading of 41 degrees Fahrenheit or below, and thermometers in freezers must show a reading of 0 degrees Fahrenheit or below. The thermometer must be located in the center of the unit and be readily accessible. Thermometer temperature readings higher than specified above require further temperature testing of food samples stored in the unit using a probe type thermometer; and adjustments to the unit setting to reach and maintain the required readings must be made." Child Care Regulation observed the bedding in the four-year-old classroom was touching. 3.6.1 G. Bedding and linens, when not in use, must be stored in a sanitary manner which prevents the spread of germs or lice from other linens. All bedding and linens must be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized at least once a week, and before use by another child. H. Bedding and linens shall not be stored in the bathroom, unless stored in cabinets. I. No double or multi-deck cribs, cots, or beds may be used.
