Licensing Specialist observed that there were dishes in the diapering sink and bottles drying next to the sink in the infant and one-year-old classroom. The teacher informed that another teacher had told her that she could wash dishes in that sink. "3.10.2 Diapering Requirements A. When children in diapers are in care, a hand-washing station that includes a sink with running water, soap, trash receptacle, and disposable towels or hand drying machines that are properly installed and maintained shall be provided in the room or in an adjoining area which opens into the room. B. Hands must be washed and dried thoroughly after each diapering or toileting procedure, and all surfaces that have been touched must be cleaned and sanitized or disinfected to prevent the spread of germs. C. Handwashing sinks must not be used for food service preparation, dishwashing, or food clean up. D. The diaper changing area must be physically separated from the food preparation, food service, and feeding area."
