The Provider received an Epi Pen from a parent/guardian on 11/25/2024. The Provider will obtain the original container from the parent/guardian and place medication in the container to store within the childcare facility. The Provider will submit a picture of the original medication container to the licensing office on or before 12/26/2024 via email

25-02 · Meals and Snacks

Licensing counselor observed two and three year old eating string cheese during PM snack. The Provider will not serve string cheese to children under four years old. The Provider removed cheese sticks from the classroom at time of inspection. Per DCF Handbook: C. Foods that are associated with young childrens choking incidents must not be served to children under 4 years of age, such as, but not limited to, whole/round hot dogs, popcorn, chips, pretzel nuggets, whole grapes, nuts, cheese cubes/sticks and any food that is of similar shape and size of the trachea/windpipe. Food for infants must be cut into pieces inch or smaller, food for toddlers must be cut into pieces inch or smaller to prevent choking. This applies to all food, even food provided by parents/guardians
