The staff is washing their hands at the bathroom sink for food preparation. Licensing provided technical assistance explaining A separate handwashing station with hot running water, a minimum of 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The handwashing station must include a sink with running water and drainage, soap, trash can, and disposable towels or hand-drying machines that are properly installed and maintained. A handwashing sink shall not be used for any purpose other than handwashing. Handwashing stations must include posted signs visible to child care personnel and children demonstrating proper handwashing technique. Portable sinks may not be used for dishwashing or food preparation. If a portable sink is used for handwashing in the food preparation area, hot water must be provided. The program started using an alternative sink prior to submission of this inspection thus it was resolved

Licensing observed the staff leaving the children with a therapist and going to a closet room in which she lost sight of the children. She argued she had to retrieve a spoon. Licensing provided technical assistance explaining the therapist is a staff member and shouldn't not be left in charge of the children. The staff noted on the supplemental was not eligible for childcare and was present during this inspection at the 2-3 age group. Licensing provided technical assistance explaining this person must not be at the facility for any reason until an eligible result from the clearinghouse, this was discussed with the director who stated the staff is no longer employed, thus it was completed at the time of the inspection. A screening must be conducted as a condition of employment.
