31-01 · CPR Requirements SACCF Handbook
License Specialist observed that the facility did not have at least one Child Care Personnel on site with a current and valid pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification present during all hours of operation. Technical Assistance was given to the Provider as per the SACCF Handbook that ( Each school-age child care program must have at least one child care personnel with a current and valid certificate(s) of course completion for first aid training and pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) procedures. By June 12, 2021, at all times in each classroom/room/designated space, or outdoor area occupied by children, at least one of the child care personnel assigned to provide direct supervision to that specific group must have current first aid training and pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification. 21-02 · Technical assistance was provided that unless statutorily exempted, all school-age child care programs must conform to state standards adopted by the State Fire Marshal, Chapter 69A-36, F.A.C., Uniform Fire Safety Standards for Nonresidential Child Care Facilities, and must be inspected annually. A copy of the current and approved annual fire inspection report by a certified fire inspector must be on file with the licensing authority. 21-06 · Technical assistance was provided that during the facilitys licensure year, fire drills utilizing the alarm system, approved by the local fire authority, must be conducted monthly at various dates and times when children are in care. One drill conducted while FSC was present. An additional drill needed during the month of May to return to compliance. Last fire drill was conducted on 3/29/2023. One fire drill using an alternate evacuation route was done on 0/27/2022. One fire drill in the presence and at the request of the licensing authority was done on 5/16/2023. One emergency LOCKDOWN drill was done on 3/15/2023. One emergency INCLEMENT WEATHER drill was done on 1/11/2023. Fire extinguisher serviced on 08/2022. As technical assistance, the licensing counselor requested that a Fire Drill be done in the presence of licensing authority, and the provider agreed to conduct the fire drill at time of inspection
