During the inspection the licensing specialist observed that the facility did not have documented proof that all child care personnel were trained and knowledgeable within 30 days of date of hire in [the use of fire extinguishers]. All child care personnel shall be trained in the use and operation of a fire extinguisher, at each facility they are employed, within 30 days of date of hire. During the inspection the counselor observed that the facility did not have documented proof of an annual fire inspection by the local fire authority. The technical support that was given to the provider were that Unless statutorily exempted, all child care facilities must conform to state standards adopted by the State Fire Marshal, Chapter 69A-36, F.A.C., Uniform Standards for Life Safety and Fire Prevention in Child Care Facilities. A copy of the current and approved annual fire inspection report completed by a certified fire inspector must be on file with the licensing authority. If the program is granted a fire inspection exemption by the local fire inspection office, the exemption must be documented and maintained on file at the program. The provider did retrieve an updated copy of the fire inspection and posted the document on their display board near the admission office. The violation was fixed onsite during the routine inspection in front of the counselor

37-06 · First Aid Requirements
During the inspection the counselor observed all of the classes at the daycare facility first aid kit was missing the following items: [ Bottled water]. Technical support that was given to the provider were Each kit must be kept in a closed container and labeled First Aid and must, at a minimum, include: 1. Soap and hand sanitizer (to be used with supervision if hands are not visibly soiled and if no water is present), 2. Adhesive bandages, 3. Disposable, non-porous gloves, 4. Cotton balls or applicators, 5. Sterile gauze pads or rolls, 6. Adhesive tape, 7. Digital thermometer, 8. Tweezers, 9. Pre-moistened wipes, 10. Scissors, 11. Bottled water (for cleaning wounds or eyes), and 12. A current resource guide on first aid and CPR procedures. The provider did fix the issues during the routine inspection on site in the presences of the counselor

During the inspection the counselor observed that two of the students at the facility did not maintain documentation that the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of each child were provided information regarding the potential for distracted adults to fail to drop off a child and leave them in the car annually during the months of April and September in that [ and in the child file it was missing at the time of the inspection.
