FSC observed a 1-2 year old classroom with 13 children and 2 teachers. This standard was brought into compliance once a third teacher entered the classroom. 2.3 Ratios The staff-to-child ratio, as established in Section 402.305(4), F.S., is based on primary responsibility for the direct supervision of children and applies at all times while children are in care. B. The custodial parent or guardian may document the time when his/her child enters and departs the child care facility or program. However, child care facility personnel are responsible for ensuring that attendance records are complete and accurate. "

40-12 · Medication
FSC observed facility to facilitate administering medication to child/children via pictures and not document the date, time and dosage. In this case provider was able to correct at the time of inspection due to child being currently unenrolled. Technical was given technical assistance per CCF handbook " The facility must maintain a record for each child receiving any medications that documents the full name of the child, the name of the medication, the date and time the medication was given, the amount and dosage, and the name and signature of the person who gave the medication. This record must be initialed or signed by the program personnel who gave the medication. The record must be maintained for a minimum of 12 months after the last day the child received the dosage." Along with a medication handout posted on the DCF website was explained in great detail on how to complete and store documentation

40-18 · Technical assistance was given to provider per CCF handbook "Prior to administering medication to children, child care personnel responsible for administering medication must be educated on proper administration procedures. Written documentation must be maintained in the personnel file that child care personnel administering medication have been educated on proper administration procedures."
FSC observed 2 personnel to be giving medication without medication administration training. Provider was able to complete at the time of inspection my completing Florida Child Care orientation on the DCF training portal

23-02 · Technical assistance was provided that unless statutorily exempted, all child care facilities must conform to state standards adopted by the State Fire Marshal, Chapter 69A-36, F.A.C., Uniform Standards for Life Safety and Fire Prevention in Child Care Facilities. A copy of the current and approved annual fire inspection report completed by a certified fire inspector must be on file with the licensing authority. If the program is granted a fire inspection exemption by the local fire inspection office, the exemption must be documented and maintained on file at the program. Last fire drill was conducted on 1/18/2023. One fire drill using an alternate evacuation route has not been conducted during licensure year. One fire drill during napping/sleeping times has not been conducted during licensure year. One fire drill in the presence and at the request of the licensing authority was done on 2/22/2023. One emergency LOCKDOWN drill has not been conducted during licensure year. One emergency INCLEMENT WEATHER drill was done on 9/27/2022. Fire inspection conducted on 12/20/2022. Fire extinguisher serviced on 07/2022. As technical assistance, the licensing counselor requested that a Fire Drill be done in the presence of licensing authority, and the provider agreed to conduct the fire drill at time of inspection
