23-02 · Technical assistance was provided that unless statutorily exempted, all child care facilities must conform to state standards adopted by the State Fire Marshal, Chapter 69A-36, F.A.C., Uniform Standards for Life Safety and Fire Prevention in Child Care Facilities. A copy of the current and approved annual fire inspection report completed by a certified fire inspector must be on file with the licensing authority. If the program is granted a fire inspection exemption by the local fire inspection office, the exemption must be documented and maintained on file at the program. Last fire drill was conducted on 4/18/2023. One fire drill using an alternate evacuation route was done on 3/27/2023. One fire drill during napping/sleeping times was done on 12/5/2022. One fire drill in the presence and at the request of the licensing authority has not been conducted during licensure year. One emergency LOCKDOWN drill was done on 11/16/2022. One emergency INCLEMENT WEATHER drill has not been conducted during licensure year. Fire inspection conducted on 4/5/2022. Fire extinguisher serviced on 05/2022. As technical assistance, the licensing counselor requested that a Fire Drill be done in the presence of licensing authority, and the provider requested that the fire drill be done at the next scheduled inspection (due to being dismissal time)
