23-08 · Technical assistance was provided that Unless statutorily exempted, all child care facilities must conform to state standards adopted by the State Fire Marshal, Chapter 69A-36, F.A.C., Uniform Standards for Life Safety and Fire Prevention in Child Care Facilities. A copy of the current and approved annual fire inspection report completed by a certified fire inspector must be on file with the licensing authority. If the program is granted a fire inspection exemption by the local fire inspection office, the exemption must be documented and maintained on file at the program. July fire drill is pending, two drills in August must be completed to return to compliance. Last fire drill was conducted on 5/23/2023. One fire drill using an alternate evacuation route was done on 4/21/2023. One fire drill during napping/sleeping times has not been conducted during licensure year. One fire drill in the presence and at the request of the licensing authority has not been conducted during licensure year. One emergency LOCKDOWN drill has not been conducted during licensure year. One emergency INCLEMENT WEATHER drill was done on 5/19/2023. Fire inspection conducted on 2/22/2023. Fire extinguisher serviced on 01/2023. As technical assistance, the licensing counselor requested that a Fire Drill be done in the presence of licensing authority, and the provider requested that the fire drill be done at the next scheduled inspection due to inclement weather

33-01 · Technical assistance was provided that Child care personnel must successfully complete 40 hours of child care training as evidenced by successful completion of competency examinations offered by the Department or its designated representative with a weighted score of 70 or better. Child care personnel who successfully completed the mandatory 40-hour Introductory Child Care Training prior to January 1, 2004 are not required to fulfill the competency examination requirement. A.
