[FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.21] During the homes licensure year, fire drills utilizing the smoke detector(s) must be conducted monthly at various dates and times when children are in care. The fire drills conducted must include, at a minimum: One fire drill during the established napping/sleeping times, one fire drill using an alternate evacuation route, and One fire drill in the presence and at the request of the licensing authority in coordination with the operator or designee.
