11-01 · Technical assistance was provided that all areas and surfaces accessible to children shall be free from toxic substances and hazardous materials/equipment/tools, including power tools, plastic bags, matches, candles, lighters, etc. These items, as well as knives, sharp tools, BB guns, pellet guns and other potentially dangerous hazards, shall either be stored and in a locked area or must be inaccessible and out of a childs reach. All potentially harmful items including cleaning supplies, flammable products, poisonous, toxic, and hazardous materials must be labeled and used according to manufacturers recommendation The cleaning supplies were removed from reach and the standard returned to compliance at time of inspection
FSC observed in the bathroom there was a cabinet with cleaning supplies and the door had no lock. Also, in the classroom under the sink, the cabinet had cleaning supplies. There was a lock, however, the lock was not on
