23-10 · Fire Drills

During the inspection the counselor observed that classroom 113 and 114 of the facility's emergency evacuation plans did not include a diagram of safe routes and was not posted in each room. Technical support that was given to the counselor was that the operator must prepare and post an emergency evacuation plan in each room of the facility, excluding restrooms, including a diagram of safe routes by which the personnel and children may exit in the event of fire or other emergency requiring evacuation. During the inspection the provider printed the diagram and posted the display in both classes while the counselor was onsite

33-01 · Training Requirements

The counselor observed during the inspection that two of the childcare personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month did not complete the 40-hour Introductory Childcare Training requirement. Technical support that was given to the provider during the inspection was mandated Introductory Training Child care personnel must successfully complete 40 hours of child care training as evidenced by successful completion of competency examinations offered by the Department or its designated representative with a weighted score of 70 or better.
