License Specialist observed that the Substitute still did not complete the departments 6 clock-hour Family Child Care Rules and Regulation course (or have documentation of completion of the 3 clock hour Fundamentals of Child Care Home Rules course.) as evidenced by the Departments training transcript. Technical Assistance was given to the Operator as per the FDCH/LFCCH Handbook that ( The Departments six clock-hour Family Child Care Home Rules and Regulations training, as evidenced by successful completion of a competency-based examination offered by the Department or its designated training representative prior to licensure and caring for children.) Additional Technical Assistance: All substitutes who work 40 Hours or more must have successfully completed the three clock-hour Fundamentals of Child Care training or 30-clock-hour Family Child Care Home training and must have documentation to show completion of a Department approved five hour early literacy and language development course, prior to caring for children and the documentation must be uploaded into the Florida Pathways registry.
