Licensing specialist observed one teacher watching an infant and 1 year old classroom. The teacher was standing in the middle watching both classrooms, she was given TA and was told that 'nap time ratio' does not apply to infant and 1 year old's classrooms. The standard was brought into compliance once the second teach returned to the classroom. 2.3 Ratios The staff-to-child ratio, as established in Section 402.305(4), F.S., is based on primary responsibility for the direct supervision of children and applies at all times while children are in care. Ratios Infants (1:4) 4 children-1 teacher. 1 year olds (1:6) 5 children-0 teacher. New ratio: 5 children-1 teacher. 2 year olds (1:11) 10 children-1 teacher. 3 year olds (1:15) 13 children-1 teacher. 4 year olds (1:20) 12 children-1 teacher. School Age (1:25) 10 children-1 teacher, 9 children-1 teacher
