During the inspection the licensing specialist observed that a fire drills conducted during the licensure year did not include the following[At least one fire drill should be conducted during nap/sleep timeframe. This is for the safety of the students and staff. This would ensure the students are aware of the steps to take in case fire takes place during that timeframe.]. A current attendance record and parent contact information must accompany child care personnel out of the building during a drill or actual evacuation and be used to account for all children. The operator must maintain a written record of the fire drills showing the date, number of children and child care personnel in attendance, evacuation route used, and time taken for all individuals to evacuate the premises. Each fire drill record must be maintained for a minimum of 12 months from the date of the fire drill. The fire drills conducted must include, at a minimum: 1. If the custodial parents or legal guardians fail to provide the documentation required above within 30 days of enrollment, the facility shall not allow the child to remain in the program.
