    12-01 · Facility Environment

    The exhaust fan vents in room 300, 400, and school age rooms have an excessive build up of dust. The Provider will have the vents cleaned and maintained. The Provider will submit pictures of the cleaned exhaust fan vents to the licensing office on or before 09/04/2023 via email. Per DCF Handbook: B. It is the responsibility of the director/operator to ensure all areas and equipment of the facility are free from fire hazards, such as lint build up in heating and air vents, filters, exhaust fans, ceiling fans, and dryer vents. This includes grease build-up in ovens, stoves and food equipment

    The kitchen area had dead roaches on the floor and in the bottom cabinets. Per Provider the dead roaches are a result of pest control treating the facility on a weekly basis. The Provider will ensure the floor and cabinets are monitored and cleaned and the floor swept daily to remove dead roaches. The Provider swept the floor and vacuumed out the cabinets to remove roaches at the time of inspection

The Provider updated the Clearinghouse roster at the time of inspection. The Provider will ensure the Clearinghouse roster is maintained. Per DCF Handbook: K. The employer/owner/operator must add child care personnel to their Employee/Contractor Roster in the Clearinghouse within 10 days of when the individual has received a child care eligible result and has been hired at the facility. Employer/owner/operator must add an end date for individuals on the Employee/Contractor Roster in the Clearinghouse within 10 days of the employment termination
