Complaint alleges that Toddler (KS DOB:11/11/21) was sent home with no undergarments as in a pull up or panties which are both provided from the parents at all times. The school made the statement that the toddler could have taken the panties off when using the bathroom. No one checked to see if my child was wiped correctly or even washed her hands correctly apparently nothing was checked. A complaint inspection was conducted and statements from the teacher and assistant director were received. underwear or pull-up on. The teacher stated that the child is very independent in that she goes to the restroom and takes off her pull-up by herself. Per assistant director, the child took off the pull-up after naptime and she left it there. What usually happens is that the mother sends the child in with a pull-up and underwear on over the pull-up. The child takes the pull-up off in the school when she goes to the restroom and leaves the underwear on. In this case, dad dropped the child off with only a pull-up on and no underwear over the pull-up. The child went to the restroom at some point of the day and took off the pull-up. KS is very independent so the staff don't usually assist her in the restroom. Per the teacher, she is aware of the allegation. The child usually goes to the restroom alone, she takes off her pull-up and brings it to them to throw away. In this case, the child didn't bring them the pull up so she didn't know that the child was left without undergarments. FINDINGS: The child is 2 years old and in the 2y/o class where some children are in diapers and others in potty training. Even though the child is independent, a 2 year old does not have the fine motor skills required to wipe themselves properly. Child care staff should check the child for proper toileting, wiping and assist the child with handwashing before leaving the restroom. This complaint is substantiated
