18-12 · Bedding and Linens
Licensing observed all five sleep mats with the bedding on them piled up on top of each other and having contact with each other. Licensing provided technical assistance explaining that to avoid contamination bedding must remain separated. It was explained that Bedding and linens, when not in use, must be stored in a sanitary manner which prevents the spread of germs or lice from other linens. All bedding and linens must be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized at least once a week, and before use by another child. The staff went the bedding to wash thus it was completed at the time of the inspection

20-03 · Crib Requirements
An infant child was observed sleeping in a basinet. The staff removed the infant and placed in a crib thus it was completed at the time of the inspection. Licensing provided technical assistance explaining children up to one year of age must be in a crib or playpen/play yard with sides for napping. Crib sides must be secured while there is an infant in the crib. Bar spacing must not exceed two and three-eighths inches. Cribs or playpen/play yards must meet the regulations as outlined in Title 16, Parts 1219, 1220 & 1221 Code of Federal Regulations, 2014, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(w), F.A.C

20-08 · Crib Requirements
An infant was observed with an infant sleeping in a basinet the child had a bib and a sleeping sac; the staff removed the item thus it was completed at the time of the inspection. Licensing provided technical assistance explaining sleep sacks that fit according to manufacturers recommendations, do not restrict the infants arms, and will not slide up around the infants face may be used for the comfort of the sleeping infant; however, swaddling shall not be used unless authorized in writing by the childs physician. Written documentation of a physicians authorization must be on file at the facility. Documentation must include the childs name, childs date of birth, description of sleep position required, instructions for the use of any equipment needed, and length of time authorization is valid. Children must not be placed in the cribs, playpens, play yards or other sleeping and napping bedding with items that could pose a strangulation or suffocation risk

The staff noted on the supplemental had a break in employment of more than 90 days, left 11/8/23, and came back 3/18/24. The director re-submitted the prints during this inspection. The licensing specialist provided technical assistance. CCF Handbook 7.4.1, C. Child care personnel must be re-screened following a break in employment in the child care industry that exceeds 90 days. Childcare personnel/individual with a break in service that exceeds 90 days are considered unscreened childcare personnel/individuals until completion of re-screening. These childcare personnel/individuals shall not have unsupervised contact with children in care. Documents were sent by the submission of this inspection thus it was resolved
