The FSC observed an outlet cover missing from an outlet in the 2 year old room. This was resolved at the time of inspection when the staff member put a cover in the outlet

35-01 · Technical assistance given: 6.1 Communicable Disease Control B. Any child, child care personnel, or other person in the child care facility suspected of having a communicable disease must be removed from the program or placed in an isolation area until removed. Such person may not return without medical authorization, or until the signs and symptoms of the disease are no longer present. If the local health department official or primary health care provider suspects that a child or child care personnel are contributing to the transmission of the illness, are not adequately immunized when there is an outbreak of a vaccine-preventable disease, or the circulating pathogen poses an increased risk to the individual. The child or child care personnel must not return until the health department or primary health care provider determines the risk of transmission is no longer present. Child care personnel who work in the food preparation area may not return until the signs and symptoms of the disease have not been present for 48 hours

The staff member stated that she chose to bring CL, her grandson, back to the facility after he was diagnosed with the pink eye because she didnt want to leave him home due to the possibility of a domestic issue with his biological mother. The child posed the risk of infecting the other children at the facility with the pink eye (communicable disease). This was resolved when the staff member took her grandson home
