34-12 · Feeding Procedure/Seating Group: Sec. 7-42, Ordinance and DCF Handbook

During the course of a complaint inspection, the following information was received; The director stated and showed me a photo of the 1y/o child in question, painting/coloring while sitting on feeding chair. TA was provided that children should not be placed in feeding chairs during non-feeding times. The child's main teacher (A), stated that when they went out into the playground the child did not get injured. The reason that the child did not get injured is because she was sitting on an a baby chair or in her arms during the duration of the playground time. At around 4:30PM, the child was changed and sat on an infant bouncy seat. The main teacher left at around 4:30PM and another teacher stepped in to cover the class. The second teacher that covered the class corroborated the main teacher's statement that the child was sitting in a bouncy seat in the afternoon. The second teacher picked her up off the bouncy seat to check her because she was fussy on and off, and seemed uncomfortable. TA was provided that infant bouncy seats are not age appropriate for a 1y/o child
