07-05 · Ratios of Personnel to Children Group: Sec. 7-33, Ordinance, DCF Handbook, and Sec
The following ratios were observed: 1-2's 1:6, 3-5's 2:17. At the time of inspection, the licensing monitor observed a 1-year-old walking alone to the director in the preschool classroom. When the licensing monitor and director brought the child back to her classroom, this concern was brought to the teacher's attention. The director stated she did not call for the child, the child must have left her classroom when the teacher was not looking. The provider was advised to keep toddlers' classroom doors closed, and place safety covers on classroom doorknobs. The area cited was brought into compliance during today's inspection
