During the time of inspection, the Owner/Operator/Director advised the Licensing Specialist that there 30 employees. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 30 of the 30 employee records. REMINDER: In-service training for 2024/2025 fiscal year must be completed before July 1, 2025. 33-1: During the previous inspection, Licensing Specialist observed 1 child care personnel did not complete the DCF 40 hours of introductory training within 12 months of starting the DCF courses. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, During the inspection, Child Care Regulation provided technical assistance, Child care personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month must begin training within 90 days of employment in the child care industry and successfully complete Departments training within 12 months from the date training begins. Training taken prior to employment in the child care industry does not constitute begin training. The begin training timeframes begin at the time of employment in the child care industry. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the child care industry in any licensed Florida child care facility. 12-2: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that some areas of the facility was not in good repair, in that there was peeling paint/peeling wall in the Toddler 1 room, Toddler 2 room, and Toddler 3 room. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed in the following classrooms there was paint peeling PreK1(window seal)/Preschool 1 (window seal)/Preschool 2(window seal) and the 2 year old's room by bathroom door frame. In the School Age classroom the sink cabinet is peeling and there is a hole at the bottom of the inside bathroom door. In the Preschool 1 classroom there is a hole in the door. The toddlers classroom the door leading into the 2 year old's classroom was peeling. The director was given until August 17, 2024, to come into compliance with this standard. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed on the older children playground closet to the left exit gate the bottom of the fence is sticking out where if a child falls it could hurt them. On the pirate ship jungle gym at the top where the telescope is located the bottom is rusted and sharp. Also on the pirate ship jungle gym the yellow stairs at the top the paint is peeling. The jungle gym there is a bracket on the back side left of the blue plastic. The director was given until August 17, 2024, to come into compliance with this standard.
