13-03 · Toxic Substances, Hazardous Materials and Weapons
13-3: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed an Odor Eliminator that stated keep out of reach of children was stored in a cabinet under the diaper table that was accessible to the children in care in in the Sophomore B classroom. During the inspection, the chemicals were removed from the cabinet and put on a shelf out of the childrens reach. This is being marked corrected at the time of the inspection. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 3.2, B All potentially harmful items, including cleaning supplies, flammable products, poisonous, toxic, and hazardous materials, must be labeled and used according to manufacturers recommendation. These items, as well as knives, sharp tools, and other potentially dangerous hazards, must be stored in a locked area or must be inaccessible and out of a childs reach at all times

39-4: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that 11 accident/incident reports were not signed by the custodial parents on the same day that the incident occurred. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 6.4, B & D: B. This documentation must be shared with the custodial parent or legal guardian on the date of occurrence. D. The documentation must be maintained for 12 months. If the parent or legal guardian does not pick up the child on the date of occurrence of the accident or incident, the individual authorized to pick up the child must sign and be provided a copy of the accident/incident form

40-17 · Medication
40.17 During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed 2 medications were expired (Aquaphor exp 5/2024 and Blue Lizard sunscreen 5/2023) and 1 medication that was not returned to that custodial parents when the child disenrolled from the facility. The director gave the 2 expired medications back to the parents and discarded the 1 disenrolled child's medication. This is being marked corrected at the time of the inspection. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 6.5, H Medication that has expired or that is no longer being dispensed must be returned to the custodial parent or legal guardian or discarded
