07-06 · Vehicle Requirements
During the inspection, the director advised that currently there is one transportation vehicle 2020 Ford Transit - 250 (B61269) that is insured through Phildelphia with an effective date of 1/29/24. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that the program's vehicle was monitored at time of inspection. The installed vehicle alarm was not in working condition in that it could not be heard from the distance of 500 feet from the vehicle. The director was given until May 11, 2023, to come into compliance with this standard. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, regarding the maintaining of the vehicle alarm. CCF Handbook, Section 2.5.4, F, 1.D - F. By January 1, 2022 all vehicles used by child care facilities to transport children must be equipped with a reliable alarm system approved by the Department which prompts the driver to inspect the vehicle for children before exiting the vehicle. 1. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed in the following classrooms there was paint peeling off the walls and the material on the red couch were peeling: 1. Early Preschool 1 classroom paint peeling on the back wall right side of the window, 2. Preschool 1 classroom paint peeling on the back wall and the wall by the boys bathroom and the red couch peeling, 3. Preschool 2 classroom paint peeling on the right wall by the cabinet and the red couch peeling, 4. Preschool Pathways classroom paint peeling on the right wall. 5. VPK 1 classroom paint peeling left wall by the puzzle center, and the back wall by the door and the red couch peeling 6. VPK 2 classroom paint peeling on the wall by the window, by the border and the wall by the red couch and the red couch peeling 7. Explorers classroom paint peeling on the left wall above the hooks by the door. The licensing specialist also observed on the VPK playground the latch to the gate that leads to the A/C was broken. The director was given until February 17, 2025, to come into compliance with this standard. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook Section 3.1 A.- General Health and Safety Requirements. A. All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months

33-06 · Training Requirements
During the time of inspection, the Director advised the Licensing Specialist that there 29 employees. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 29 of the 29 employee records. REMINDER: In-service training for 2024/2025 fiscal year must be completed before July 1, 2025. Counselor reviewed 10 hours of annual in-service, completed, for all child care personnel for the 2024/2025 fiscal year. When the Licensing Specialist was reviewing the files the Licensing Specialist observed 1 personnel did not finish her 5 hours Early Literacy training. The director was given until February 17, 2025, to come into compliance with this standard. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 4.2.2 Early Literacy Training Pursuant to Section 402.305(2)(e)5., F.S., all childcare personnel must complete a single course of training in early literacy and language development of children ages birth through five years that is a minimum of five clock hours or .5 CEUs. Early literacy training must be completed within 12 months of date of employment in the childcare industry. Proof of completion may be documented on a certificate of course completion, classroom transcript, or diploma. Childcare personnel must complete one of the following: A. One of the Departments online literacy courses available on the Departments website. B. One of the Departments approved literacy courses. A list of these courses can be obtained from the Departments website. (No additional courses will be approved by the Department.) C. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 180 of the 180 childrens records. Licensing specialist found three children who had an expired immunization form. The director was given until February 17, 2025, to come into compliance with this standard. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 7.1 F Immunization Records The child care facility is responsible for obtaining for each child in care a current, complete and properly executed Florida Certification of Immunization form Part A-1, B, or C, DH 680, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(o), F.A.C., or the Religious Exemption from Immunization form, DH 681, which is incorporated by reference in 65C22.001(7)(p), F.A.C., from the custodial parent or legal guardian. DH Form 680 and DH Form 681 may be obtained from the local county health department. Specific immunization requirements are included and detailed in the most current edition of the Immunization Guidelines-Florida Schools, Child Care Facilities and Family Day Care Homes as promulgated by the Florida Department of Health. At the time of inspection, licensing specialist observed and photographed the handwashing sink with paint soaked brushes in the sink. Staff removed the paint brushes and cleaned the sink. Administrator noted to remind staff in the next staff meeting to not use the hand washing sinks for anything other than handwashing. TA A handwashing sink shall not be used for any purpose other than handwashing. Handwashing stations must include posted signs visible to child care personnel and children demonstrating proper handwashing technique

28-02 · Bottles, Breastmilk, Formula and Infant Food
Counselor observed unlabeled sippy cups and water bottles from home in EPS1, EPS2 and PreK Pathways classrooms. Technical assistance was provided that bottles and sippy cups brought from home shall be individually labeled with the childs first and last name and shall be returned to the custodial parent or legal guardian daily. Director had all sippy cups and water bottles labeled during this inspection bringing this standard back into compliance at this time
