Ratio for the day of the complaint. 1:1 - 1 year old 2 other personnel During the time of the investigation, the licensing specialist observed via video footage that the teacher left the classroom to answer the door leaving the classroom out of ratio. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed 1 childcare personnel 1(1year old), 1(2-year- old) and 5(3-year olds). The teacher brought this standard back in compliance at the time of inspection by returning to the classroom after opening the door. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 2.3 Ratios The staff-to-child ratio, as established in Section 402.305(4), F.S., is based on primary responsibility for the direct supervision of children and applies at all times while children are in care

During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed one personnel did not have a cleared background screening. The director brought this standard back in compliance at the time of inspection by putting the personnel on leave until she has a cleared background screening. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 7.4.1 Background Screening Documents Background screening documentation must be maintained for all child care personnel as defined by Section 402.302(3), F.S., which includes household members if the facility is located in or adjacent to the home of the operator. Background screening documentation must be on-site and available for the licensing authority to review. C. A copy of the eligible results, for the Level 2 screening, generated from the Clearinghouse must be on record for each personnel. If awaiting Out-of-State criminal history results, a copy of the DCF email informing of the individuals eligibility for a provisional hire status must be in the personnel file
