At the time of inspection, the Licensing specialist walked through the facility to ensure compliance for nap time standards and observed no staff in the VPK classroom to the right of the lobby area/office. The provider came shortly after in the classroom. The specialist observed a school age child sitting at a desk, a child standing heading to the restroom and other children awake on cots and some sleeping. The specialist asked where the staff for the classroom was, and the provider advised that the staff stepped into another classroom while the provider pulled a staff to the front lobby/office to assist them with something. The provider stayed in the classroom while until the teacher of the VPK classroom came back into classroom. The specialist and provider discussed nap time supervision and answered all of the providers questions. The provider stated that she only did it a little while but did direct the staff to cover another classroom and removed the other staff from the classroom. TA was provided to ensure that during nap time child care personnel are within sight and sound of children in care and the staff required to meet staff to child ratio remains in the building readily available
