11-07 · Diaper Changing Area (Articles VIII.C and X.G)
This standard will close with noncompliance as statements given from the staff at the child care facility concludes that the child urinated on herself, possibly during nap time and the child soiled clothing was not changed promptly as the child was sign out of the facility and had gone home for the day. The teacher's caring to the child, admitted that the child had gone to the bathroom and went she returned she was crying but never told them why she had been crying. The teacher's admitted that they felt around the carpet, child mat, and linen for wetness, but nothing was wet. They reported that since the child is a bit older, they did not physically touch the child legs to see if she was wet. This standard was completed at the time of the inspection as the child is no longer in wet clothing. Technical support was given to ensure that children diapers, wet, and/or soiled clothing are change promptly. If the parents fails to provide the children with a change of clothing the facility should have clothing or a system in place that should allow the child to get into clean dry clothing promptly
