Video shows, the teacher aggressively taking the child from the cot and putting the child outside the facility using an exit door located in the classroom. The teacher then closed the door leaving the child alone. Paragraph 3&5 of the Policy Guidance can be read as follows: Discipline in our Montessori environment is not something that is done nor is it a technique for controlling behavior. Our concern is with the development and practice of internal control which will enable a child to choose the correct behavior because it is the right for him or herself and is also right for the community he or her belong to. There will be no use of physical punishment or any acts where the child is made to feel humiliated ashamed. There will be no use of threats or yelling of any kind to any child in our care. The child care staff subjected the child to discipline that was severe as evidence by [The video shows: Teacher forcefully grabbed the child off her bed by her left arm. The child tried to resist, but the teacher escorted her to the back door holding her left hand and then both hands. The child was left outside(alone) for a few seconds and then put back inside. Back in the room, the child was observed showing the teacher her left arm when Marta entered the room and picked her up]. It was verified by Marta, the mother, grandmother, and photograph taken by the mother that there was a mark on the childs arm. The incident report describes the mark as a scratch.
