Licensing Specialist did an inspection on the facility's vehicle. Licensing Specialist had the driver, F.D., try to set off the installed vehicle alarm. The alarm never went off. The driver tried to ride around the premises with the children in the vehicle to see if it would go off. The alarm never went off. This is not the first time she has had difficulty with the alarm. Licensing Specialist made the suggestion of taking the vehicle back to whoever installed the alarm and have them take a look. Vehicle was parked directly in front of the facility. 2.5.4 Vehicle Requirements For the purpose of this section, vehicles refer to those owned, operated or regularly used by the child care program, and vehicles that provide transportation through a contract or agreement with an outside entity. Under this allowance, the existing alarm system must always be properly maintained in working order. Should at any time the alarm system require replacement, the new system must be selected from the Departments approved list referenced in 2.5.4 F.2. above
