33-07 · Training Requirements
Refer to the supplemental for the staff who had not completed the required training in order for continued work in the program. Staff will need to complete training and copy of completed training is to be provided to the specialist for corrective action. 3 Training Requirements Training requirements of this section do not apply to child care personnel who do not work directly with children, such as cooks, bookkeepers, and janitors who are considered other personnel. Training is required for other personnel if they at any time fill in for classroom child care personnel and are in direct care of children. 3.1 Preservice Child care personnel must successfully complete the preservice training coursework described in this section, as applicable. All child care personnel must complete these preservice training requirements within 90 days of initial employment with any School Readiness provider. This timeframe does not start over if personnel change employment to another School Readiness provider within this initial 90 days. Personnel who have not completed all preservice training requirements are not allowed any unsupervised contact with or care of children in a School Readiness program

Provider was honest and stated she has not conducted monthly drills at various dates or times when the children were in care, Licensing Specialist offered the provider assistance and training. And any of the following developmentally appropriate practices modules completed through ELFL, as applicable: Supporting the Social-Emotional Development of Infants/Toddlers; Supporting the Social-Emotional Development of Preschool Children; or Supporting the Social-Emotional Development of Mixed-Age Group Care. One personnel record was missing a Level II Clearinghouse screening clearance, (L.H.). 7.4 Personnel Records Records must be maintained and kept current on all child care personnel, as defined by Section 402.302(3), F.S. These records shall be on-site, available for review by the licensing authority and must include: A. A complete employment application with the required statement pursuant to Section 402.3055(1)(b), F.S. B. Documentation of position and date of employment. C. CF-FSP Form 5337, Child Abuse & Neglect Reporting Requirements, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(l), F.A.C., must be signed on or before hire date and annually thereafter by all child care personnel. D. Copies of training information and credentials as applicable. E. For the driver only: Florida drivers license and driver physical examination documentation. A copy of the drivers license and the physician certification, or another form containing the same elements of the physician certification, granting medical approval to operate the vehicle, and valid certificate(s) of course completion for first aid training, pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) procedures, and background screening must also be maintained in the drivers personnel file. F. Prior to beginning volunteering in a child care facility, a CF-FSP 5217, Volunteer Acknowledgment which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(e), F.A.C., and may be obtained from the Departments website www.myflfamilies.com/childcare, must be completed and on file at the child care facility for the volunteer. Written documentation of volunteer hours must be maintained at the facility for a minimum of 12 months and available for review by the licensing authority
