25, she had maybe taken the children outside for outdoor play maybe once. She stated that she hardly ever goes outside with the children and mainly stays in her classroom. Licensing Specialist reviewed the class schedule posted and observed it did not include both morning outdoor play and afternoon outdoor playtime. Licensing Specialist spoke to the Director and informed her that she would have to add outdoor playtime on her schedule as indicated in the Childcare Facility Handbook on page 18-Section 2.6, D. 2.6 Planned Activities Each group or class must have a written and followed plan of scheduled activities posted in an easily seen location accessible to parents/guardians. The written plan must meet the needs of the children being served and must include alternate activities in case of bad weather. The written plan shall include a variety of activities that range from structured to unstructured activities that encourage a childs developmental growth. The written plan also must include scheduled activities that: D. Include both active and quiet play. Active play includes outdoor activities a minimum of twice per day, weather permitting. Licensing Specialist observed a can of Lysol Spray sitting on top of the low cubby shelf in the preschool 3 yr. old classroom. 3.2 Toxic/Hazardous Material/Firearms/Weapons B. All potentially harmful items, including cleaning supplies, flammable products, poisonous, toxic, and hazardous materials, must be labeled and used according to manufacturers recommendation. These items, as well as knives, sharp tools, and other potentially dangerous hazards, must be stored in a locked area or must be inaccessible and out of a childs reach at all times. This was resolved when the provider placed the Lysol Spray in a locked cabinet, away from the reach of children

24-13 · Food Preparation Area
Licensing Specialist observed the kitchen staff prepping food/serving meals without wearing proper head covering. Provider stated another employee who was not present in the building knows where they keep the hair nets/head coverings. None were found at the time of inspection. 3.9 Food Preparation/Food Service 3.9.1 Food Preparation Area A food preparation area is a designated room, such as a kitchen, or a designated space in a facility not normally used or accessible to the children in daily operations for indoor play, classroom, work or nap spaces, and not included when calculating usable indoor floor space. B. Child care personnel, while working in the food preparation area, must wear proper head covering, such as a hair net or hat. To prevent contact with ready-to-wear foods, child care personnel must use clean disposable gloves, utensils, or similar items in the food preparation area. 04-05 · Supervision
Licensing Specialist was met at the front lobby by childcare personnel that was helping initiate the inspection walkthrough until the Director returned. She was stationed behind the counter in the front lobby area not within sight and hearing of all children during nap time. She led the Licensing Specialist into the first classroom for a walkthrough, then stated she was the childcare personnel responsible for the class. Seconds later the Director arrived and took over. Childcare personnel stayed in the classroom and continued supervising the children. Resolved: Director arrived and took over in assisting with the routine inspection. Action Plan: Director stated the Cook/Kitchen help was left responsible for attending the front door in her absence. She will let the childcare personnel know the importance of Supervision in the classrooms and explain to the staff that the cook will have to answer the door. 2.4.2 Nap time Supervision During nap time, child care personnel must be within sight and hearing of all the children. All other child care personnel required to meet the staff-to-child ratio must be within the building on the same floor and available to be summoned if needed to ensure the safety of the children. Nap time supervision does not apply to children up to 24 months of age, who must have direct supervision at all times

License Specialist observed 4 cribs with blankets inside them. Three of them still had infants sleeping which could cause a strangulatio or suffocatui Resolved: Childcare personnel immediately removed the blankets from the cribs. Were advised to ask parents to bring in nap sleepers that do not restrict the children's movements and or limbs. Action Plan: Ask parents to bring in warmer clothing or nap sleepers. 3.6.4 Safe Sleep A. All personnel that care for infants must follow safe sleep practices as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) as referenced in Caring for Our Children Basics Health and Safety Foundations for Early Care and Education, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(v), F.A.C. Licensing Specialist observed infant bottles not labeled with child's first and last names. Resolved when the childcare personnel were directed to get some tape and sharpies and write the children's first and last names on bottles. Action Plan: Assure all bottles are labeled before storing in the refrigerator. Keep sharpie and tape nearby. 3.9.5 Food Handling B. Licensing Specialist reviewed Accident/Incident Notification forms. Childcare personnel failed to share the accident/incident form with the custodial parent/legal guardian, or the individual authorized to pick up on the day that the incident occurred. Resolved when the childcare personnel had the parent sign 4 days later. Action Plan: Ensure to send a copy home to whomever picks up the child and or refuses to sign, then write a note on the documentation. Attach to parent/legal guardian's email and send receipt. 6.4 Accident/Incident Notification B.
