• Licensing Specialist observed: • 1 out of 4 teachers have completed all the school readiness courses. Supplemental will show personnel names and classes still needed. • School Readiness Handbook states the following: After January 1, 2024, the DEL-approved online School Readiness health and safety courses as evidenced by successful completion of the examination at the end of the modules with a weighted score of 70 or better. Course access can be found at the Florida Early Childhood Professional Development Registry website at www.myflfamilies.com/childcare. • Child Development in the School Readiness Program; • Health and Nutrition in the School Readiness Program; • Safe Sleep Practices in Child Care (not required for school-age only programs); • Safety Practices in the School Readiness Program; and • Transportation Safety in Child Care Programs (if applicable). DCF Handbook States: • 4.5 Documentation of Training The Departments training transcript will be the only acceptable verification of successful completion of the Departments training and school-age training documentation. A. A copy of the Departments training transcript may be obtained from the Departments website at www.myflfamilies.com/childcare. B. A copy of the training transcript must be included in each child care personnels record maintained at the school-age child care program. C. School-age training documentation must be uploaded into the Florida Pathways (Registry), which may be accessed from the Departments website at www.myflfamilies.com/childcare. D. Any course completion certificate not documented on the training transcript will be considered invalid, requiring that the course(s) be retaken. Until the coursework is retaken and completed, child care facilities will be out of compliance with the mandated training standard. Corrective Action: Director will have teachers finish School Readiness Courses by the due date

Licensing Specialist observed one employee with an unfinished background screening as it said "Agency Review Required" DCF Handbook States: 5.2 Re-Screening A screening conducted under this rule is valid for five years, at which time a re-screen must be conducted in the same manner as the initial screening. A. The five-year re-screen is required for all child care personnel. B. The five-year re-screen must include, at a minimum, a criminal records check (both national and statewide), a sexual predator and sexual offender registry search, and child abuse and neglect history of any state in which an individual resided during the preceding 5 years. Corrective Action: HR needs to send us the completed background screening as this teacher has been put on leave by the school and she cannot be back as childcare personnel until completed screening
