33-07 · Training Requirements
Refer to the supplemental for the staff who had not completed the required training. Staff will need to complete required training in order for continue work in the program. Copy of completed training will need to be provided to specialist for corrective action. 3 Training Requirements Training requirements of this section do not apply to child care personnel who do not work directly with children, such as cooks, bookkeepers, and janitors who are considered other personnel. Training is required for other personnel if they at any time fill in for classroom child care personnel and are in direct care of children. 3.1 Preservice Child care personnel must successfully complete the preservice training coursework described in this section, as applicable. All child care personnel must complete these preservice training requirements within 90 days of initial employment with any School Readiness provider. This timeframe does not start over if personnel change employment to another School Readiness provider within this initial 90 days. 23-06 · Fire Drills
Licensing Specialist reviewed the fire drill log. A fire drill utilizing the approved alarm system was not conducted for the months of December 2024 and March 2025. Last fire drill documented on the log took place on 1/16/25. Provider substituted a fire drill in the month of February 2025 for a Code Red drill (Lock Down). 3.8.4 Fire Drills A. During the facilitys license year, fire drills utilizing the alarm system, approved by the local fire authority, must be conducted monthly at various dates and times when children are in care. B. When the facilitys approved fire alarm alert system is activated or initiated, all adults and children must evacuate the facility. C. A current attendance record and parent contact information must accompany child care personnel out of the building during a drill or actual evacuation and be used to account for all children. The operator must maintain a written record of the fire drills showing the date, number of children and child care personnel in attendance, evacuation route used, and time taken for all individuals to evacuate the premises. Each fire drill record must be maintained for a minimum of 12 months from the date of the fire drill. The fire drills conducted must include, at a minimum: 1. One fire drill using an alternate evacuation route, 2. One fire drill during napping/sleeping times, and 3. One fire drill in the presence and at the request of the licensing authority.
