30-01 · Diapering
Licensing Specialist observed a portable sink in the infant room that had no running water. There were no other sinks in the classroom available for the provider to wash hands before and after meals and feedings, before and after diapering procedures. Currently there's only one infant in care. Provider moved a portable sink from an adjacent building into the infant room that works. This was resolved at the time of inspection. 3.10.2 Diapering Requirements A. When children in diapers are in care, a hand-washing station that includes a sink with running water, soap, trash receptacle, and disposable towels or hand drying machines that are properly installed and maintained shall be provided in the room or in an adjoining area which opens into the room

33-06 · Training Requirements
Licensing Specialist reviewed a childcare personnel training transcript that was missing the Early Literacy for Children Age Birth through Three course. Childcare Personnel has an industry start date of:01/13/2023. Had begun the ELC course on 01/09/2024 but never completed. 4.2.2 Early Literacy Training Pursuant to Section 402.305(2)(e)5., F.S., all child care personnel must complete a single course of training in early literacy and language development of children ages birth through five years that is a minimum of five clock hours or .5 CEUs. Early literacy training must be completed within 12 months of date of employment in the child care industry. Proof of completion may be documented on a certificate of course completion, classroom transcript, or diploma. Child care personnel must complete one of the following: A. One of the Departments online literacy courses available on the Departments website.B. One of the Departments approved literacy courses. A list of these courses can be obtained from the Departments website. (No additional courses will be approved by the Department.) C. One college level early literacy course (for credit or non-credit) if taken within the last five years

39-04 · Accident/ Incident Notification and Documentation
Licensing Specialist observed an accident or incident report not given to the child's legal guardian/parent on the day of the accident/incident. Parent will be given the report today at pick up and the provider will share the report and signature with the Licensing Specialist. 6.4 Accident/Incident Notification A. All accidents and incidents or unusual occurrences that are threatening to the health, safety, or welfare of a child that occur while the child is in care must be documented on the same day they occur. B. This documentation must be shared with the custodial parent or legal guardian on the date of occurrence. C. Documentation must include the name of the affected party, date and time of the occurrence, description of the occurrence, actions taken and by whom, and appropriate signatures of program child care personnel and the custodial parent or legal guardian. Program child care personnel signatures may include the director/childcare personnel that witnessed the incident, who were involved in the incident, and/or responded to the childs needs. D. The documentation must be maintained for 12 months. If the parent or legal guardian does not pick up the child on the date of occurrence of the accident or incident, the individual authorized to pick up the child must sign and be provided a copy of the accident/incident form. E. In the event of serious injury or death, the incident must immediately be reported to the licensing authority
