During the facilitys license year, fire drills utilizing the alarm system, approved by the local fire authority, must be conducted monthly at various dates and times when children are in care B. When the facilitys approved fire alarm alert system is activated or initiated, all adults and children must evacuate the facility. Specialist observed two medications without medical authorization forms. In Classroom A for A.R and Classroom B for K.C. The medication forms located during inspection missed a description of dosage. The medication form F. The facility must maintain a record for each child receiving any medications that documents the full name of the child, the name of the medication, the date and time the medication was given, the amount and dosage, and the name and signature of the person who gave the medication. This record must be initialed or signed by the program personnel who gave the medication. The record must be maintained for a minimum of 12 months after the last day the child received the dosage. 33-03 · Training Requirements
Counselor observed that personnel listed on the supplemental did not begin the introductory training within 90 days of employment. Personnel will begin training and provider will submit transcript to counselor. Counselor provided the following technical assistance: Child care personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month must begin training within 90 days of employment in the child care industry and successfully complete Departments training within 12 months from the date training begins. Training taken prior to employment in the child care industry does not constitute begin training. The begin training timeframes begin at the time of employment in the child care industry. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the child care industry in any licensed Florida child care facility. This may be accomplished by classroom attendance in a Department-approved training course, acquiring an educational exemption from a Department-approved training course, beginning a Department-approved online child care training course, or by receiving results from a Department-approved competency examination. The child care program is responsible for obtaining training documentation from child care personnel
