12-02 · Facility Environment
During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed in the toddler rooms on the wall near the alphabet rug and the corner wall near the A.C. vent door the paint is peeling. In VPK A the wall near the block center and the wall near kitchen center the paint is peeling. In VPK A room the bathroom wall and at the bottom of the bathroom door on the inside of the door has holes. In the 2 year old room the wall near the a/c vent in the kitchen area and the wall in the jack and jill bathroom near the bottom where the toilet is on the 2 year old side the paint is peeling. In the 3/4 year old room the wall near the kitchen, the wall near the handwashing sink, wall under window near the circle time area, and the bottom corner wall near the a/c door (also missing drywall) the paint is peeling. In the 2-3 year old room the wall near the cubbies and near the back door the paint is peeling. Also in the 2/3 room there are holes in the wall in the bathroom. In the 3 year old room the wall in the circle time area, the wall in the kitchen area, the wall under the window near the tables and the wall in the block center the paint is peeling. The director was given until May 2, 2025, to come into compliance with this standard. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook Section 3.1 A.- General Health and Safety Requirements. A. All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months

33-06 · Training Requirements
Licensing Specialist observed that two child care workers did not have the required five-hour early literacy and language development course completed within 12 months of date of employment. "4.2.2 Early Literacy Training Pursuant to Section 402.305(2)(e)5., F.S., all child care personnel must complete a single course of training in early literacy and language development of children ages birth through five years that is a minimum of five clock hours or .5 CEUs. Early literacy training must be completed within 12 months of date of employment in the child care industry. Proof of completion may be documented on a certificate of course completion, classroom transcript, or diploma. Child care personnel must complete one of the following: A. One of the Departments online literacy courses available on the Departments website. B. One of the Departments approved literacy courses. A list of these courses can be obtained from the Departments website. (No additional courses will be approved by the Department.) C. One college level early literacy course (for credit or non-credit) if taken within the last five years." "4.5, C. 30-09 · Diapering
Licensing Specialist was notified by multiple staff that a child had a bowel movement accident in his clothing, with feces smeared in multiple places throughout the bathroom. The teacher refused to change the child's clothing and told the child to change his own clothing. "3.10.2 ... F. Children must be directly attended at all times when being diapered or when changing clothes. Child care personnel must not leave children unattended on a table or countertop. A safety strap or harness must not be used on the diaper changing table/surface. G. Items unrelated to diaper changing shall not be stored in the diaper changing area nor shall they be placed on the diaper changing table. H. There must be a supply of clean diapers, clothing, and linens at all times. I. When diapers, clothing or linens that are being used become soiled or wet, they are to be changed immediately, and properly disposed. ..." The child's grandmother, a teacher in a different classroom at the facility, came to the classroom and cleaned the child; thus, returning this standard to compliance at the time of this inspection

46-02 · Daily Attendance
Licensing Specialist observed that the four- and five-year-old class closest to the office did not have an accurate attendance. The attendance log showed that there were ten children in attendance; however, the teacher said that there were fourteen children in the classroom. Licensing Specialist counted thirteen children. The operations manager confirmed that there were thirteen children in attendance. "7.5 Daily Attendance Daily attendance of children must be taken and recorded accurately by the child care personnel, documenting the time when each child enters and departs the program. A. Attendance devices used for the purposes of tracking attendance may be used, but personnel must ensure the accuracy of the documented attendance. Each classroom must have an attendance sheet/class roster for the group of children occupying that space. Attendance sheet/class roster must accompany the child care personnel and the group of children throughout the day should they leave the classroom. B. The custodial parent or guardian may document the time when his/her child enters and departs the child care facility or program. However, child care facility personnel are responsible for ensuring that attendance records are complete and accurate. ..."
