An onsite reinspection was completed where licensing staff observed the training transcript for the staff that had not completed the 40 required hours. The staff has completed the required training; thus, returning this standard to compliance at the time of this inspection. Child Care Regulation observed rust on the climber in the toddler playground and rust on the hand rails and joints of the climber in the gross motor playground. "3.1 General Health and Safety Requirements A. All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months." 17-08 · Outdoor Play Area/Fencing

Child Care Regulation observed that the fence in the toddler playground, facing the parking lot, was less that 4 feet, due to build up at the base. "F. The outdoor play area must have adequate fencing or walls a minimum of 4 feet in height. Fencing, including gates, must be continuous and must not have gaps or opening larger than 3 inches that would allow children to exit the outdoor play area. The base of the fence must remain at ground level and be free from erosion or buildup to prevent inside and outside access by children or animals. These areas must have at least two exits, with at least one being remote from the buildings. If an outdoor play area was approved for usage by the Department prior to October 25, 2017, no new exits are required to be added to meet this standard.
