04-09 · Supervision
When FSC entered the infants/one year old classroom, there were no food on the high chair tray. FSC observed child fell from the high chair and sustained a fall. The shoulder straps were not used at the time. Fortunately, the child fell on the highchair's tray which was able to cushion the fall using both arms. Child was checked by staff and paramedic confirmed no apparent injury. Paramedic advised to take the child to a hospital to detect fine line injuries of the arms. Parents were notified immediately. Mom came to pick up child during the inspection. As technical assistance, Infants must be held for bottle feedings until they are developmentally ready to sit in an age appropriate chair with good head control. Children must not be left in high chairs or other types of feeding chairs other than during feeding times. The use of safety straps is required to prevent children from falling out of the high chair

09-02 · Planned Activities
TA: Each group or class must have a written and followed plan of scheduled activities posted in an easily seen location accessible to parents/guardians. The written plan must meet the needs of the children being served and must include alternate activities in case of bad weather. The written plan shall include a variety of activities that range from structured to unstructured activities that encourage a childs developmental growth. FSC observed 2 classroom such as the( 1 year old and the 3 years old) not following their Nap schedule, children were napping at 11:15AM when their napping time indicated 12 PM on their schedule. FSC suggested that maybe the teacher could engage the children in a soothing activity such as reading a book until naptime. or to maybe consider revising the schedule Provider has resolved the non-compliance at the time of the inspection by having the teacher read to the children
