TA: Planned Activities Each group or class must have a written and followed plan of scheduled activities posted in an easily seen location accessible to parents/guardians. The written plan must meet the needs of the children being served and must include alternate activities in case of bad weather. FSC observed: The 2 years, 3 years and 4 years classrooms did not follow their sleeping schedule time. When FSC arrived at 11:45 AM all lights were turned off in the classrooms, the children were already on their mat, some were sleeping others just laying down. Nap time schedule for the 4 years old showed 12:45PM and the other classroom 12:15PM. The non-compliance was resolved: FSC conducted a fire drill, and the director was reminded at that time that the teachers must follow their schedule

TA: A minimum of 18 inches must be maintained around individual napping and sleeping spaces. A maximum of two sides of a napping or sleeping space may be against a solid barrier, such as the wall. TA: 3.8.2 Fire Safety A. Unless statutorily exempted, all child care facilities must conform to state standards adopted by the State Fire Marshal, Chapter 69A-36, F.A.C., Uniform Standards for Life Safety and Fire Prevention in Child Care Facilities. A copy of the current and approved annual fire inspection report completed by a certified fire inspector must be on file with the licensing authority. If the program is granted a fire inspection exemption by the local fire inspection office, the exemption must be documented and maintained on file at the program.
