It was noted during a previous inspection that the roof was leaking and this was reported by the director on 10/3/23, when the director self reported the incident to CCLE and an inspection was conducted documenting this incident. The facility took necessary precautions by calling the fire department and local code enforcement who conducted test to make sure the facility was safe to operate, in addition that part of the facility has been closed off to children. During this revisit the facility has kept that section of the building closed to children as the exterior roof has been repaired and water can no longer leak inside. Local building code enforcement has been notified and will be conducting an inspection on November 7th to approve the repairs and conduct the 40 year inspection of the building, at which point the interior ceiling drywall will be installed. An extension has been granted to complete all repairs

11-13 · General Facility Requirements Group: Sec. 7-5.01, Ordinance and DCF Handbook
The facility self reported to CCLE that when they arrived early morning on Monday 10/02/23 they found a section of ceiling drywall had fallen in the back classroom. Since this occurred during the weekend no children were present. The facility took the necessary precaution and closed off that section of the building, in so doing they notified the fire department and building code services to assess the situation. It was determined that rain water and termites had cause enough damage that extensive repairs would have to be made. Currently the facility is waiting for building permit to begin repairs. In the mean time all children are being taught in the facility's other rooms and all room are being kept in ration. CCLE will conduct revisits as progress is made with the repairs
