Licensing Specialist observed all infants were covered in blankets. Blankets were removed at the time of licensing inspection. Technical Assistance: When napping or sleeping, young infants who are not able to roll over must be positioned on their backs and on a firm surface to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, unless an alternate position is authorized by a physician. Sleep sacks that fit according to manufacturers recommendations, do not restrict the infants arms, and will not slide up around the infants face may be used for the comfort of the sleeping infant; however, swaddling shall not be used unless authorized in writing by the childs physician. Written documentation of a physicians authorization must be on file at the facility. Documentation must include the childs name, childs date of birth, description of sleep position required, instructions for the use of any equipment needed, and length of time authorization is valid

Per staff in charge, food acceptance log was not completed today due to designated person being out for an appointment. Facility will need to create a plan to train staff on food acceptance logs and checking food temperatures in the event the designated person is not at the facility.
