33-13 · Training Requirements
During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed two staff members did not complete School Readiness training within 90 days of hire. The facility was given 14 days to complete the requirement per the School Readiness handbook. The Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance from the School Readiness handbook Section 3.1 and 3.2 3.1 Preservice Child care personnel must successfully complete the preservice training coursework described in this section, as applicable. All child care personnel must complete these preservice training requirements within 90 days of initial employment with any School Readiness provider. This timeframe does not start over if personnel change employment to another School Readiness provider within this initial 90 days. Personnel who have not completed all preservice training requirements are not allowed any unsupervised contact with or care of children in a School Readiness program. Within 90 days of initial employment with any SR provider, new hires and current pre-service trainees must complete all required preservice training by successfully completing one of the options below: Option 1 (DCF courses, plus corresponding exams) Existing courses available now under the Child Care Facility Part 1 heading for $10 per course: Health, Safety and Nutrition (8 hours) Child Growth and Development (6 hours) Behavioral Observation and Screening (6 hours) Identifying and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect (4 hours) PLUS Health and Nutrition in the School Readiness Program (4 hours) Safety Practices in the School Readiness Program (5 hours) OR Option 2 (DEL Florida Early Childhood PD Registry) New courses available under the School Readiness Pre-Service heading for free: Child Development in the School Readiness Program (4 hours) Health and Nutrition in the School Readiness Program (4 hours) Safe Sleep Practices in Child Care (2 hours; not required for school-age only programs) Safety Practices in the School Readiness Program (5 hours) Transportation Safety in Child Care Programs (2 hours; if applicable)

23-05 · Fire Drills
During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored the Fire Drill Log and observed documentation of the last fire drill having been conducted on 2/17/2025. The last approved fire inspection for this facility was dated 11/13/2024. The fire extinguisher certifications in the facility buildings are valid until 10/2025. The van used to transport children had a fire extinguisher with no tag. The licensing specialist took pictures. The Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance from Section 3.8.2.B. Fire extinguishers with a minimum rating of 2A:10BC must be properly installed, serviced and maintained with current inspection tags at all times

32-07 · Outdoor Equipment
At the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed the fall zone under the swing set was not maintained at a depth of 6 inches in all directions for 6 feet. The Licensing Specialist took pictures. The Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance from the handbook 3.12. D. Permanent or stationary playground equipment must have a fall/use zone that extends a minimum of 6 feet in all directions from the perimeter of the equipment. All types of ground cover must be maintained to provide resilience and reduce the incidence of injuries to children in the event of falls. 1. If the ground cover in place is loose ground cover (such as, but not limited to: mulch, shredded rubber chips, or sand) a minimum of 6 inches in depth is required in the use zone. Asphalt,concrete, hard packed dirt, hay, grass or leaves are unsuitable for use in the use zone area. 2. If the ground cover in place is a unitary playground surface, then the unitary surfacing materials must be installed, maintained, or replaced according to manufacturers instructions. Unitary surfaces must be tested to and comply with ASTM F1292; documentation of test data must be retained at the facility and available for licensing to review. 3. If the play area was approved by the Department prior to January 1, 2020 and does not meet the 6-foot fall/use zone requirement, then the facility must submit a written notification, including photographs and layout of the play area, to the Department prior to or on April 1, 2020, notifying its intention to continue to operate using the prior approved play area. However, if the permanent or stationary playground equipment is moved or replaced then the standard would apply, and 6 feet of use zone must be provided. Any new equipment added would be required to have the 6 feet of use zone in all directions from the perimeter of the equipment
