At the time of the inspection, the counselor observed there was lysol spray and wasp spray stored in a cabinet that was unlocked at floor level in room 2. Pictures taken. The director removed the items and placed them in another cabinet bringing the center back into compliance. Provided technical assistance from the handbook Section 3.2.B B. All potentially harmful items, including cleaning supplies, flammable products, poisonous, toxic, and hazardous materials, must be labeled and used according to manufacturers recommendation. These items, as well as knives, sharp tools, and other potentially dangerous hazards, must be stored in a locked area or must be inaccessible and out of a childs reach at all times

At the time of inspection, the diapering station in Room 3 had a bottle of soft drink and cell phone on the station. The staff member removed the items from the station once it discussed. 20-06 · Crib Requirements
At the time of the inspection, the counselor observed there was an infant sleeping in the crib with a boppy pillow and blanket in classroom 3. The staff removed the pillow and blanket promptly before the counselor left the classroom. Provided technical assistance from the handbook Section 3.6.4. A. 3.6.4 Safe Sleep A. All personnel that care for infants must follow safe sleep practices as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) as referenced in Caring for Our Children Basics Health and Safety Foundations for Early Care and Education, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(v), F.A.C. At the time of the inspection, the counselor observed 1 staff record didnt have documentation of completing Literacy training within 12 months of the date of employment in the child care industry. Provided technical assistance from the handbook Section 4.2.2 Early Literacy Training Pursuant to Section 402.305(2)(e)5., F.S., all child care personnel must complete a single course of training in early literacy and language development of children ages birth through five years that is a minimum of five clock hours or .5 CEUs. Early literacy training must be completed within 12 months of date of employment in the child care industry. At the time of the inspection, the counselor observed one child's file did not have a current Student Health Examination within 30 days of Enrollment. Provided technical assistance from the handbook. Section 7.2, 7.2 Student Health Records The child care facility is responsible for obtaining for each child in care a current, complete and properly executed Student Health Examination form DH 3040, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(q), F.A.C. and may be obtained from the local county health department, the parent or legal guardian, or a signed statement by authorized professionals that indicate the results of the components of the Student Health Examination form are included in the health examination. A. The Student Health Examination shall be completed by a person given statutory authority to perform health examinations. B. The Student Health Examination or the signed statement is valid for two years from the date the physical was performed. An up-to-date version must be on file for as long as the child is enrolled at the facility. C. If the custodial parents or legal guardians fail to provide the documentation required above within 30 days of enrollment, the facility shall not allow the child to remain in the program
