All potentially harmful items, including cleaning supplies, flammable products, poisonous, toxic, and hazardous materials, must be labeled and used according to manufacturers recommendation. These items, as well as knives, sharp tools, and other potentially dangerous hazards, must be stored in a locked area or must be inaccessible and out of a childs reach at all times. In the 3 year old room a container of Dawn disinfecting wipes was accessible to the children. CCRC gave TA to the director and staff to ensure that all harmful items are stored in a locked or inaccessible area to children at all times. This was corrected at the time of inspection. The driver of any vehicle used by a child care program to provide transportation must have the following: An annual physical examination which grants medical approval to drive, and valid certificate(s) of course completion for first aid training and pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) procedures.
