20-06 · Crib Requirements

There were two infants found wrapped in infant blankets. While counselor was present, the blankets were removed from the cribs. All personnel that care for infants must follow safe sleep practices as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) as referenced in Caring for Our Children Basics Health and Safety Foundations for Early Care and Education. Cribs or playpens/play yards used for infants must have tight fitted sheets and no excess bedding, with includes but is not limited to: bumper pads, hanging mobiles, quilts, comforters, receiving blankets, pillows, stuffed animals and cushions

Supervision Standards apply at all times from the childcare facility, including during field trips, outdoor play, and when picking up or dropping off children at designated locations, such as bus stops, schools or a child's home. Personnel must know where children are and what they are doing at all times and be capable of responding to emergencies including when children are separated from their group
