During the inspection the licensing specialist observed the teacher in the infant room walk out of her classroom and went to the office. She left a total of 4 infants in the room unsupervised with the door closed. The standard was brought back into compliance when the licensing specialist informed the infant teacher that she cannot leave the children unsupervised. During the inspection the owner informed the licensing specialist that the child was bit 9 times by another child that has autism, because the teacher was not supervising them the way she was supposed to. The owner then informed the licensing specialist that she was going to fire the teacher, but the teacher quit instead. The owner then stated that the assistant teacher also quit. The provider has resolved the non-compliance because the child is no longer attending, and the teacher is no longer employed. 2.4 Supervision 2.4.1 General Supervision Requirements A. During the inspection the licensing specialist observed that two tiles from the ceiling in the four-year-old classroom were missing, and water was leaking from the ceiling onto the floor. There were no children in the four-year-old classroom at the time of inspection. The owner informed the licensing specialist that it had rained very hard the night prior and it caused the tiles to fall. The owner stated that the facility was just cleaned and painted, so the plans were not posted on the walls yet. As of 1/4/24 activity plans were posted in the 3 yr old classroom. License specialist asked if the staff were using the handwashing sinks after each diapering. The owner stated that a portable sink was being installed in the 2 year old room.
