During the morning of 3/24/25, the Licensing Specialist received an email from the Owner/Director notifying that on Wednesday 3/19/25 they found holes in the closet and rat droppings in the VPK classroom. The Owner/Director stated that the VPK classroom was closed. The facility was cleaned and sanitized. Pest control completed an inspection over the weekend and the Director advised that their pest control contract was upgraded to included rodents on the checklist. This violation was resolved/brought back into compliance by the Licensing Specialist monitoring the VPK classroom. The Licensing Specialist observed that the holes in the closet were repaired/patched, and a copy of the upgraded pest control contract was provided. According to the CCF Handbook, Section 3.1 3.1 General Health and Safety Requirements A. All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children

During the inspection, Childcare Regulation observed that an 11-month-old was being served food that was not cut up into 1/4-inch pieces, as the child was holding a whole French fry in his mouth. 25-7: During the time of inspection, Childcare Regulation observed that there were two thermometers in the refrigerator that is located in the kitchen, one had a temperature reading of 50 degrees Fahrenheit, and the other had a temperature reading of 55 degrees Fahrenheit, therefore, exceeding the no greater then 41 degree Fahrenheit temperature requirement.
